Our school honors the theme “Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!” by featuring inspiring women from our community as Babaylana Sharers during Monday Flag Ceremonies. These modern Filipina leaders embody the ancient Babaylansβwise guides who led with courage, faith, humility, and selfless serviceβshowing us how to navigate life’s challenges while uplifting others.
On March 9, 2026, Ma’am Mignon M. Ella, Master Teacher II, shared her heartfelt journey as a teacher, mother, and woman of faith. She described the realities of balancing demanding responsibilities while remaining devoted to her calling as an educator. Through life’s struggles, Ma’am Mignon draws strength, wisdom, and courage from constant prayer and unwavering faith in God. Her story illustrates how women who lead with perseverance and compassion become instruments of hope, reminding us that faith is the foundation for rising above adversity.
On March 16, 2026, Mrs. Hennie R. Ambas, a successful Grade 5 parent, shared a powerful reflection on a community Babaylanaβa remarkable figure reflecting service and humility, always extending a helping hand with kindness and compassion. Despite achievements, she stays humble and devoted to others, proving true success measures a generous heart, strong faith, and desire to uplift. She urged: Live life simply, be a blessing to othersβlike Moana restoring her people’s heart with ancestral wisdom and selfless courage.
These stories reveal the essence of today’s Babaylans: Filipinas who lead by example, blending faith with action, humility with strength, and service with love. Like their historical counterparts who guided communities with wisdom, they light the way forward for all of us.
